Lenny C's Pizzeria

      It all started in December 18, 1958 when my father Phil Cannova came to America from San Biagio, Italy. Since, he had family in Chicago
that's where he headed.
  
     He started working at a candy company called Peanut Specialty Company during the day & The Chicago Tribune at night. In 1960, he decided to quit his night job and go to work for himself so, he opened a small neighborhood pizzeria on 79th and Western and called it "Phil's Pizza". He worked at the candy store during the day and opened his pizza shop  at night. As his business grew he quit his daytime job and moved his shop to 35th and Halsted in Bridgeport (a small neighborhood on the South side of Chicago). There he served Chicagoans great tasting
pizza and sandwiches for over 25 years.
          

        In 1985, my father moved to SW Florida brought "Phil's Pizza" to N. Ft. Myers at Weavers Corner Shopping Plaza. Then in 1987, my brother moved down to join us and we opened our Pizza Shop in Cape Coral. Over the years our business grew and we moved locations several times to accommodate our customers. In 2003 we sold our pizza shop to venture into other businesses.

         I kept all the recipes my father gave to me and decided to get back
into the business in 2008.
